Low testosterone in younger men

I want to talk with you about why there is low testosterone young males. I’m getting low numbers on guys in their twenties and real early thirties. I think it is lifestyle and environment related.

Lifestyle; our diets are basically crap and we sit around all day. We don’t do a lot of exercise and we eat processed food that is not very good for you. That is contributing to it as well as the environment.

There are a lot of what are called xenoestrogens in the environment. They are everywhere, there is no sense in trying to avoid them, you never will. What these are, are chemical estrogen-like compounds. They act kind of like estrogen in our body.

They are driving down testosterone because what it is doing is causing sex hormone binding globulin to be made by the liver to grab a hold of these and pull them out of your body. They also grab testosterone and bring testosterone down.

It is a combination of environmental factors and just us being lazy and eating the SAD diet, that standard American diet of processed food. We sit around all day and watch TV and look at the computer before we go to bed.

Trying to raise the levels naturally is going to be difficult unless you dramatically change your lifestyle and try to combat some of these xenoestrogens. It is virtually impossible. I think we are victim of our own environment.

You’ve got to get that testosterone level back up. The only way to really do successfully is through testosterone supplementation.
