I want to talk with you a little bit about a product called Pregnyl, or human chorionic gonadotropin (HCG).
When you are on testosterone replacement therapy, your body signals to your brain that your body has enough testosterone so there’s no reason to produce any on your own. The signal from your brain to your testicles that tells them to “work,’ to produce trestosterone and sperm, gets either blunted or shut down completely.
So over time, like anything else, use it or lose it, you’re going to get some shrinkage. We don’t want that.
Once you’ve been on testosterone for a certain amount of time, with my protocol, you are going to start some Pregnyl. What that does is replace that signal that would normally be sent from your brain to your testicles and tell them to ‘work.’
My protocol is just the minimum amount required. It is sort of like if you have a motorcycle or a sports car and you keep it in the garage over the wintertime. You put a trickle charger on the battery, so come springtime when the weather is nice, you fire that sucker up and you’re ready to go.
It’s the same with the protocol that Medicine Coach has. If you ever do decide to ever come off testosterone, your testicles are going to kick right in and start working like they did before, like you’ve never been on testosterone.
There are other protocols that I have if you want to maintain your level of fertility before starting therapy. Or if you want to become even more fertile, have a higher sperm count, to get your spouse pregnant. There are different protocols for that. Either way we can use it.
HCG is used to maintain size, shape, form, and function of your testicles while you are on testosterone replacement therapy.
For my clients, I call it a required option. I do it, I recommend you do it, but I’m not going to force it upon you because it’s your body.
I want to keep my size, shape, form, and function but that is up to you.
